Second Hand Rose - Terms and Conditions
Second Hand Rose will describe the items to the best of our ability providing measurements such as bust, waist, hips and length in order to give you as clear an idea as possible of sizing. Please note that vintage clothing sizing differs from today's sizes, therefore measure the sizes given against yourself before purchasing.
All items are genuine vintage clothing and as such are second hand, used/worn clothing. We will describe the items fully, mentioning any imperfections or areas of particular wear. While Second Hand Rose endeavours to find only the best quality vintage clothing at affordable prices, the customer understands that it is expected that vintage clothing, especially items 20 years older or more, will have signs of wear and are often delicate items requiring special care (i.e. many items are handwash or dryclean only). All items have been washed or drycleaned by Second Hand Rose.
Postage and packaging costs are included in the price of each item. Items are posted on Tuesdays and Fridays and will be sent 1st Class Recorded Delivery. We shall endeavour to post your order on the Tuesday or Friday immediately proceeding the order, but in all cases we will aim to send orders within 7 days unless otherwise stated. 1st Class Delivery should take between 1 and 3 business days but please allow the statutory 30 day limit for delivery.
Please note that at the moment we only ship to the UK. No overseas orders will be processed.
Orders will be acknowledged by email within 24 hours on business days. Orders placed on a weekend will be acknowledged by email on the next business day.
In accordance with Distance Selling Regulations (DSRs) you have 7 days from receipt of your items to cancel your order and return the goods in the same condition as you received them, unworn and with tags. All our clothing has been washed or dry cleaned so we need to receive returned items in the same condition ready for resale. Please be as sure as possible that you want the item and of the sizing before ordering, as it doesn't do vintage clothing too good to be going back and forth in the post!
If you decide to cancel your purchase from Second Hand Rose within the 7 day period, you must take reasonable care of the items and return them to us ensuring they are not damaged in transit, in accordance with DSRs.
Please note that return postage is paid by the customer.
Any returns by customers will be refunded with 30 days of receiving the returned item.
Disclaimer: Please note that all items on the online shop are one offs and are sold on a first come, first served basis. When an item is bought it will be removed from the online shop as soon as possible. If on any occasion two orders are placed for the same item in quick succession before the item can be removed, then the first person to have bought it will be notified as the successful buyer, and the second person will have their money refunded. We will do our best to remove sold items as soon as humanly possible!
